Architecture Prize 2008
The Hypo Real Estate Foundation has awarded its Architecture Prize for exemplary commercial buildings for the 9th time.
Out of almost 100 projects submitted from all over Germany the jury of well-known names gave the following awards:
Winners:
- Barkow Leibinger Architects, Berlin: Production and Administration Buildings, Freiburg
- wulf & partner, Architects BDA, Stuttgart: New Conference Centre Stuttgart
- Deppisch Architects, Freising: Biohotel in the Apple Orchard, Hohenbercha
- 03 Munich Garkisch Schmid Wimmer Gbr, Munich: Commercial premises of Kraft Baustoffe GmbH
- Florian Nagler Architects GmbH, Munich: Cowshed, Dietramszell-Thankirchen

- Regina Schineis Architects, Augsburg: Lab and Think-Tank Pauker, Friedberg
- Ingenhoven Architects, Düsseldorf: Lufthansa Aviation Centre, Frankfurt am Main
- MGF Architects GmbH, Stuttgart, in association with Girndt+Wagner Architects, Coburg: Alex-Centre, Regensburg
- Gehbauer Helten Architects BDA, Oppenheim: New Logistic and Service Centre for Expotechnology GmbH, Taunusstein
- wulf & partner, Architects BDA, Stuttgart: Senior Care Home, Haus am Kappelberg, Fellbach
There were two winners of the Young Architects’ Prize, which was being awarded for the second time.
Winners:
- Marc Nuding, University of Karlsruhe (TH): Winery in Lavaux, Kanton Waadt
- Konrad Scheffer, BTU Cottbus: Eberswalde Culinary Island – conversion scheme for an industrial building
The top-level jury consisted of:
