Hypo Real Estate Holding AG is a strategic and financial  holding company which does not have any banking operations.

The central functions of the holding company comprise access to the equity and debt markets as well as strategic management of the Group. The Group entities are thus able to focus completely on their operations.

All corporate centre functions relating to the Group as a whole are concentrated in the holding company. The Group Corporate Office via its Investor Relations and Press/Communications departments represents the Group externally.

The holding company also houses central finance and accounting, risk control, the central legal and tax department as well as Group Human Resources. With approx. 100 employees, the holding company represents a lean and efficient organisation, thereby reducing the Group's overheads to a minimum.
